Spirax Sarco UIB30/UIB30H Sealed Inverted Bucket Steam Traps - Piping Connector Connection

Description

Spirax Sarco UIB30 and UIB30H sealed inverted bucket steam traps can be installed horizontally or vertically (body hanging down, bonnet on top), with the UIB30H being the high-displacement version. The UIB30H is a high-displacement model. When connected to a suitable piping connector (supplied separately by Spirax Sarco), the UIB can be easily removed in-line without disrupting the piping and minimizing system downtime. The pipe connectors are available with threaded, socket welded and flanged connections.

Standards and Certificates

This product complies with the European Pressure Equipment Directive 97/23/EC. Body/bonnet welds are in accordance with ASME section IX and BS EN 288 and can be supplied with EN 10204 3.1 certificates (specify when ordering).

Scope of work

The type of pipe connector and the connection method determine the maximum pressure and temperature of the whole assembly, refer to the relevant technical data for detailed information. The product has a certain temperature and pressure applicable range, some areas are not applicable.

Trap selection should be based on the most compatible operating differential pressure rather than load, e.g. 80 kg/h 7 bar differential pressure should be UIB30/7 rather than UIB30/4.

Ordering Instructions

The assembly is supplied in two parts: piping connector; UIB30 steam trap with inner and outer ring gaskets (positioned) and 2 connection bolts (packed in a linen bag on the flange).
