Description

Spirax Sarco Model 20 and 40 Direct Steam Injection (SI) Humidifiers are designed to humidify ductwork with an injection of dry steam to ensure effective mixing of steam and air, advancing the humidity content of moving air while preventing the air from carrying water.

Available Models

The SI system is available in models 20 and 40. Each model is available with a choice of 13 standard nozzle lengths to accommodate duct widths from 280mm to 3950mm. Humidifier models are selected based on the amount of steam humidification.

Control valves and actuators

Spirax Sarco control valves, electric and pneumatic actuators are available as standard in the selection tables. Units can be supplied without control valves and/or actuators on request, other types are also available on order.

mounting

When control valves are supplied by Spirax Sarco, the control valve and separator are assembled together. If required, the actuator can be mounted on the control valve and commissioned to the specified control signal. If the control valve is not ordered, the pipe fitting accessory (see TI-P795-01) will be supplied mounted on the separator together.
Each nozzle and separator is fitted with 2 x 8 mm O/D compression type pipe connections (5). The separator drain connection 'Q' should be connected to a Spirax Sarco float steam trap with automatic air vent (13) and the tracer system should be fitted with a Spirax Sarco MST21 pressure balancing trap with 'E' bladder (10), which are to be These traps must be ordered separately.
