Description

Spirax Sarco 25P Pilot Operated Pressure Reducing Valves ½" - 5" are self-acting pilot operated pressure reducing valves. The downstream pressure is sensed through an external pressure sensing tube, which regulates the main valve opening and maintains pressure stabilization. The valve can be closed when there is no load downstream. The main valve of this pressure reducing valve has a single seat, carbide spool finish, the valve body is ductile iron (or cast steel), and the pilot valve is bolted directly to the main valve.

mounting

Pressure reducing valves should be installed in horizontal piping with bypass and shut-off valves, with a trap and strainer upstream of the valve and a straight section of at least 10 times the pipe diameter before and after the downstream pressure sensing pipe.
