Description

Spirax Sarco PF6 Stainless Steel Pneumatic Piston On/Off Angle Valve, 2-way pneumatic piston on/off angle valve, body is made of stainless steel, can be used for steam, water, air, oil and gas. A pneumatic signal is loaded on the actuator piston to switch the valve on and off, and the piston has a spring return function. Standard models and models with flow regulator are equipped with a valve position indicator. Standard models have PTFE stem seals for use up to 180°C, with optional high-temperature (H) stem seals for use up to 190°C. The standard models are available with a spring-return function.

Actuator size and mode of action

Three sizes of actuators are available: Type 1 (45mm), Type 2 (63mm) and Type 3 (90mm) with the following modes of action:

• NC (Normally Closed): Fluid flows over the valve seat (1 - 2). Note: Not suitable for use where water hammer may occur.
• NO (Normally Open): Fluid flows under the valve seat (2 - 1) and can be used for liquids to prevent water hammer.
• BD (Bidirectional Flow, Normally Closed): For liquid special applications requiring bidirectional flow and protection against water hammer, with fluid flowing from below the valve seat (2 - 1). NOTE: To prevent water hammer in liquid applications, the pressure should not exceed 1 bar g when fluid is flowing from above the valve seat (1 - 2).
