Description

Spirax Sarco LRV2B and LRV2S gunmetal pressure reducing valves are direct-acting pressure reducing valves for use in liquid systems. The LRV2B is available with phosphor bronze/brass bellows, and the LRV2S is available with stainless steel (316Ti/316L) bellows. The downstream pressure control spring range can be differentiated by adjusting the different colors of the plastic sign on the handwheel, grey corresponds to 0.35 - 1.7 bar g, green corresponds to 1.40 - 4.0 bar g, and orange corresponds to 3.50 - 8.6 bar g. In case of overlap of the pressure ranges, it is better to use the spring control of the lower range.

Sizes and pipe connections

Screwed connections are available in ½", ¾", 1" sizes with BSP (BS 21 Rp) or NPT connections.

Pressure/Temperature Limits

The body is designed for PN 16. The maximum permissible pressure PMA is 25 bar g @ 120 °C, the maximum permissible temperature TMA is 100 °C @ 17 bar g and the minimum permissible temperature is 0 °C. The maximum working pressure PMO is 14 bar g @ 75 °C and the maximum working temperature TMO is 75 °C @ 14 bar g. The minimum design temperature is 0 °C, below which a minimum temperature of 0 °C is required. consult Spirax Sarco. The maximum working differential pressure is determined by the PMO and the recommended maximum pressure reduction ratio (at maximum flow rate) is 10 : 1. The design maximum cold hydraulic test pressure is 38 bar g. After installation of the internal components, the test pressure must not exceed 17 bar g. The maximum working pressure is 14 bar g @ 75 °C for the PMO and 75 °C @ 14 bar g for the TMO.

material (that sth is made of)

Several components are made of different materials, such as the spring chamber is aluminum - epoxy coated (LM24), the regulating handwheel is plastic - polypropylene, the valve body is gunmetal (BS 1400 LG2), etc.

engine displacement (volume of air fuel mixture drawn in during one cycle)

Different sizes of valves have different Kv values when the valve is fully open, ½" is 2.1, ¾" is 3.6, 1" is 4.3. This can be converted by the formula Cv (UK) = Kv x 0.963, Cv (US) = Kv x 1.156, which is used for the selection of safety valves.

Security information, installation and maintenance

Install the pressure reducing valve on a horizontal pipe in the direction of flow as indicated by the arrow on the valve body. For details of installation and maintenance, refer to the Installation and Maintenance Guide (IM-P001-18) supplied with the product.

Ordering Instructions

Specify product specification when ordering, e.g. 1- Spirax Sarco LRV2 Pressure Reducing Valve, gunmetal body with orange spring (3.5/8.6 bar g), ½".

How to order

A wide range of spare parts are available, such as pressure regulating springs and bellows assemblies. When ordering spare parts, specify the caliber, model and pressure range of the pressure reducing valve.
