Description
Spirax Sarco FTGS14 Float Steam Trap (Threaded Connection) is made of austenitic stainless steel body with built-in automatic air venting valve and nickel-plated ductile iron bonnet for better corrosion resistance, and can be maintained on-line without disassembling the piping.

Discharge shown is based on condensate discharge at saturation temperature. During the startup phase, the condensate is cold and the thermostatic air vent is open to provide additional condensate discharge. The additional cold water displacement from the evacuation air valve at different pressure differentials is shown below:

Refer to the Installation and Maintenance Guide (IM-P145-12) supplied with the product for detailed information.
Installation Note: The FTGS14 must be installed in the same direction as the fluid flow direction and the direction indicated by the arrow on the valve body, to ensure that the float arm position is horizontal as well as to ensure that the float can be free to lift vertically, if necessary, the flow direction can be changed on-site, only need to turn the valve cover by 180 degrees. Make sure the arrow on the nameplate points downward.
