Description
Spirax Sarco FT47 float steam traps (DN15-DN50) in ductile iron with built-in automatic air venting and flanged connections. Available for horizontal or vertical installation, the vertical model FT47V and the horizontal FT47 (up to 21 bar g) are available with a manually adjustable needle valve for breaking steam vapor locks, model FT47-C. The cover can be drilled with 3/8" BSP or NPT threads for installation of a venting valve, if desired. Body and bonnet castings are manufactured in a TÜV certified foundry.

Certification
This product can be supplied with the manufacturer's test report and also with an EN10204 3.1 certificate. If a certificate is required, please specify when ordering.
Sizes and pipe connections
- Caliber: DN15, DN20, DN25, DN40 and DN50.
- Connection: Horizontal mounting type, when facing the valve body, the flow direction is from left to right for DN15-DN25, and from right to left for DN40 and DN50; Vertical mounting type, the flow direction is from top to bottom. Standard flanges are EN1092 PN40 and PN25, flange end dimensions in accordance with EN 26554 (series 1); flanges ANSI B16.5 class 150 can be supplied as required, flange end dimensions in accordance with EN 26554 (series 1), bolt holes in ANSI flanges are UNC threaded.
Scope of work
The products have specific use area restrictions, e.g. they cannot be used in the area of A - B flanges EN 1092 PN40, A - C flanges ANSI 150, otherwise the internal parts may be damaged.

Refer to the Installation and Maintenance Guide (IM-S02-30) supplied with the product for detailed information. Install in the direction of flow as shown on the valve body, making sure the float arm is positioned horizontally so that the float can rise and fall freely and vertically.
