Description

Spirax Sarco FT44 carbon steel float steam traps (DN15-DN50) with stainless steel internals, built-in automatic air venting and flanged connections. The body and bonnet castings are made in a TÜV certified foundry. The valves can be serviced in-line without dismantling the piping. Horizontal connection, vertical connection type FT44V (flow direction from top to bottom). FT44 uses BP99/32 liquid bladder and can be applied to superheated steam with superheat degree of 150℃@0 bar g,50℃@32 bar g. The valve can be used with a BP99/32 liquid bladder.

Manually adjustable needle valve (model FT44-C) for use with horizontally connected FT44's only. This option also offers a steam lock breaking function (SLR), consult Spirax Sarco for more information. If required, 3/8" BSP or NPT tapped holes can be drilled in the top of the bonnet for a counterbalance pipe or 3/8" BSP or NPT tapped holes can be drilled in the bottom of the bonnet for a drain valve, to be specified at time of order.

This product can be supplied with EN10204 3.1 certificate. Note: If a certificate is required, please specify when ordering.

Sizes and pipe connections

  • Caliber: DN15,DN20,DN25,DN40 and DN50.
  • Horizontal mounting type: flow direction when facing the valve body DN15-25 from left to right, DN40 and DN50 from right to left. Standard flange EN1092 PN40, flange end dimensions in accordance with EN26554 (series 1), flange connection JIS/KS20 ANSI B 16.5class150 and 300 extension end dimensions are available on request.
  • Vertical installation type: flow direction from top to bottom. Standard flanges EN1092 PN40, flange end dimensions in accordance with EN26554 (series 1), flanges JIS/KS and ANSI B16.5class150 and Class 300 flanges are available on request. bolt holes for ANSI flanges are UNC threads, and bolts for JIS/KS flanges are metric threads.

  • Maximum permissible pressure for PMA: 40 bar g@ 100°C
  • TMA Maximum Allowable Temperature: 300°C @ 27.5 bar g
  • Minimum permissible temperature: -10°C
  • PMO Maximum working pressure under saturated steam: 32 bar g @ 239°C Note: PMO equals DPMX for DN40 and DN50 valves.
  • Maximum TMO operating temperature: 285°C @ 28.5 bar g
  • Minimum operating temperature (for low temperature applications, consult Spirax Sarco): 0°C
  • Caliber DN15, DN20, DN25: FT44-4.5 4.5 bar; FT44-10 10 bar; FT44-14 14 bar; FT44-21 21 bar; FT44-32 32 bar

Installation Tip: Follow the flow direction device shown on the valve body, making sure the float arm is positioned horizontally to ensure that the float is free to rise and fall vertically.
