Description

The Spirax Sarco BT1050 Boiler Drain Controller is a timer used to control the bottom drain valve. It allows the bottom drain valve to open and remove deposited solids that could otherwise build up and eventually cause boiler damage.The BT1050 has three timers that can be set for different cycle periods and durations, e.g., Monday-Friday, with a maximum of 3 drain cycles per day. This timer can also be set to prioritize the boiler discharge.

It is available for panel, DIN rail or baseboard mounting and is powered by a 99 to 264 volt AC power supply. The front panel has an LCD display and five button keypad. A test function gives the user a diagnostic tool.The BT1050 can communicate with neighboring devices via infrared, it can be designated as a slave or master, and it connects to a two- or four-wire EIA/TIA-485 multipoint network. Up to 9 BT1050s (or BT1000s) can be installed and used for multi-outlet boiler drains.

This document does not contain sufficient information to safely install the product. Refer to the Installation and Maintenance Guide supplied with the product which has detailed wiring, commissioning and operating instructions. Please note the Safety Information Sheet IM-GCM- 10. and any national regulations relating to sewage discharge. In the UK. health and safety guidance note PM60. in particular be aware of the work hazards of having one boiler switched off whilst the others are running.

  • Do not drill holes or use self-tapping screws in the product.

• Installation/Environmental Conditions: Install the product in an environment that minimizes the effects of heat, vibration, shock and electrical interference. The product must be mounted in a suitable industrial control panel or fire rated enclosure to provide protection from impact and the environment. A minimum of IP54 (EN 60529 standard) or Types 3, 3S, 4, 4X, 6, 6P and 13 (UL50/NEMA 250) is required. The product can be DIN rail, base plate board or panel mounted. Instrument bezels are available.
