Description

Spirax Sarco BRV2S and BRV2B Ductile Iron Pressure Reducing Valves are direct acting pressure reducing valves for gases such as steam or compressed air, with a ductile iron body, available with flanged and threaded connections.The BRV2S is available with a stainless steel bellows, the BRV2B with a phosphor bronze bellows, and optional BRV2SP and BRV2BP models with an external inductor tube. Three set pressure ranges are available downstream, distinguished by signage colors.

Note: When the set pressure ranges overlap, it is better to use a lower range spring control. The products are fully compliant with the European Pressure Equipment Directive 97 / 23 / EC, with CE marking as required, and standard products with manufacturer's typical test certificates, which need to be specified when placing an order with the required certificates and test requirements.

Flow rate for safety valve sizing

Full open flow rate is used for safety valve selection, Kvs value: 1.5 for DN15, 2.5 for DN20, 3.0 for DN25.
Convert the formula:

Installation Instructions

Install the pressure reducing valve on horizontal piping in the direction of flow according to the arrow on the valve body.BRV2SP/BRV2BP When using an external inductor tube, remove the plug (16) and install the 6mm O/D compression mount (17).The other end of the 6mm inductor tube should be installed in the piping at least 1m downstream of the valve.

Order according to the description in the table of available spare parts, stating the size, type and pressure range of the pressure reducing valve. Example: Regulating spring for pressure reducing valve DN15 BRV2, pressure range 3.5 - 8.6 bar g (orange); 1 - Pressure reducing valve DN15 BRV2S, ductile iron body, flanged connection EN1092 PN25, stainless steel bellows, fitted with orange spring (3.5 - 8.6 bar g).
