Description
Spirax Sarco BPC32F and BPC32YF are serviceable pressure-balanced thermostatic steam traps made of carbon steel with integral flanged straight line connections. The BPC32F has a built-in flat strainer and the BPC32Y has a built-in Y-strainer. All pressure-bearing components are supplied by TUV-approved suppliers, and the manufacturing process complies with AD Merkblatt WO/TRD100 standards. Both types of traps are immune to water hammer and are available in different configurations, with the bladder type specified when ordering.
options (as in computer software settings)
- Standardized liquid capsule (STD): Discharge condensate at 12°C below the saturated steam temperature.
- NTS liquid capsule: Discharge condensate at 6°C below the saturated steam temperature.
- SUB fluid sac: Discharge condensate at 24°C below the saturated steam temperature.

Security information, installation and maintenance
When condensate is discharged to a condensate recovery line with back pressure, it is recommended that a check valve be installed after the trap; when condensate is discharged to the atmosphere, it is recommended that a silencer be installed; and for ease of maintenance, it is recommended that a shut-off valve be installed upstream and downstream of the trap. For detailed information, refer to (IM-P005-02).
