Description

The Spirax Sarco EP5 Electropneumatic Positioner is a 2-wire positioner requiring a 4 - 20 mA input signal for linear pneumatic actuators. It compares the electrical signal from the controller with the valve position feedback and varies the pneumatic signal output to the actuator accordingly, ensuring that the valve is accurately positioned at any controller output signal, overcoming the effects of differential pressure variations, stem friction and diaphragm hysteresis. Each positioner is supplied with a mounting kit for mounting on a column or yoke in accordance with IEC 60534 - 6 - 1, and can be used with PN1000/2000, 3000/4000, 9000 and other actuators.
