Spirax Sarco Fig33.1 Ductile Iron Filter

Description

This product of Spirax Sarco is a Y-shaped filter, made of ductile iron with flange connection. The standard stainless steel filter mesh apertures are differentiated according to the caliber, 0.8mm aperture for DN15 to DN80, 1.6mm aperture for DN100 to DN200, and other apertures, mesh sizes and Monel alloy filter mesh are also available. Threaded holes can be drilled on the strainer bonnet to connect with a drain valve or discharge valve.

Temperature and pressure limits

This product has temperature and pressure use range restrictions and cannot be used in gray areas with standard flanges of EN 1092 PN16.

Security information, installation and maintenance

Refer to the Installation and Maintenance Guide (IM - S6018) supplied with the product for details.

mounting: Strainers should be installed on horizontal or flow down vertical piping as indicated by the flow direction arrow on the valve body. When applied to horizontal piping for steam or gas, the filter valve body should be kept in a horizontal plane position, while in liquid systems the valve body should be in a vertical downward position. For ease of maintenance and replacement, suitable shut-off valves should be installed upstream and downstream of the filter.
