Description

Spirax Sarco DP27, DP27E, DP27G, DP27GY, DP27R and DP27Y Pilot Operated Ductile Iron Pressure Reducing Valves are pilot operated ductile iron body pressure reducing valves and the valves cannot be used for oxygen. Different models have different application scenarios, e.g. DP27 is used for steam or compressed air systems; DP27E is used for steam systems and contains a solenoid valve assembly that allows remote on/off or timing control, etc.

Pressure/Temperature Limits

The products are fully compliant with the European Pressure Equipment Directive 97 / 23 / EC and are marked as required. Different models have different limits in terms of pressure and temperature, e.g. DP27, DP27G, DP27GY have a saturated vapor pressure of 17 bar g, DP27E has a maximum operating pressure of 10 bar g, etc. The minimum operating temperature is 0°C. For lower temperatures, please consult Spirotech. The minimum working temperature is 0°C. For lower temperatures, please consult Spirax Sarco. Designed for a maximum cold hydraulic test pressure of 38 bar g. The test pressure must not exceed 25 bar g after installation of the internal parts.

Sizes and pipe connections

Sizes are available in DN15LC - low displacement models (not available in DP27G and DP27GY), DN15, DN20, DN25, DN32, DN40 and DN50; threaded connections are available in BSP (BS 21 parallel) or NPT (DN15 - DN25 only); flanged connections are available in DN15 - DN50 EN 1092 PN16 and PN25, DN25 - DN50 BS 10 Table H and ASME (ANSI 300) and other standard connections are available on request. PN25, DN25 - DN50 BS 10 Table H and ASME (ANSI) 300, etc. Other standard connections are available on request.

DP17R Remarks

Security information, installation and maintenance

For detailed information, refer to the installation and maintenance guides supplied with the product (IM - P100 - 05 DP27G and DP27GY, or IM - P470 - 03 DP27E, DP27R and DP27Y). Pilot-type pressure reducing valves are installed in horizontal piping as indicated by the flow direction arrow on the valve body. A vapor separator and strainer should be installed upstream of the pressure reducing valve to protect the pressure reducing valve.

Ordering Instructions

Example: Spirax Sarco DN32 DP27 pilot-type pressure reducing valve, spring range 0.2 - 17 bar, EN 1092 PN25 flange connection.

How to order

Provide spare parts required for common repairs, including main diaphragms, pilot valve diaphragms, pilot valve assemblies, and so on. Spare parts vary by model, e.g., DP27E has solenoid valve assembly, coil, spool valve seat assembly, etc. When ordering spare parts, please specify the model and caliber of the pressure reducing valve. Some interchangeability exists for spare parts, but it does not apply to DP27G and DP27GY soft-seal pilot valves and main valve assemblies.
