Description
Spirax Sarco APT10-4.5 automatic trap pump design pressure PN10, threaded connection. Depending on the condition of the piping, it can automatically trap or pump water. This steam-powered unit removes condensate from heating equipment and processes under all operating conditions, even vacuum. The standard APT 10-4.5 is supplied with a blue finish and can be ENP nickel plated if required.

- Available installation height (m): From the base of the trap pump to the centerline of the heat exchanger/process condensate outlet. If the outlet is vertically downward, it is the height from the base of the trap pump to the outlet surface.
- Power steam pressure (bar g) of the trap pump.
- Total back pressure (bar g) in the condensate recovery system, see note below.
- Working pressure of the heat exchanger at full load (bar g).
- Maximum steam load of heat exchanger (kg/h).
- Minimum temperature of the medium to be heated ( oC).
- Maximum control temperature ( oC) of the medium to be heated.

Security information, installation and maintenance
NOTE: The total head or back pressure BP (static head + return line pressure) must be less than the power pressure to achieve the rated discharge.

Height (H) m x 0.0981 + Return line pressure §bar g + Downstream piping friction pressure drop (Pf) bar. (Piping friction resistance can be ignored if the downstream piping is less than 100 m, the condensate piping is not a full-overflow pipe, and the effect of secondary vapors when the heat exchanger is at full capacity has been taken into account during piping sizing.)

Product Description
Spirax Sarco automatic trap pump APT10-4.5 with maximum steam working pressure up to 4.5 bar g. No electricity required. The pump body is constructed of ductile iron (GGG 40.3 or ASTM A395) with a swinging inlet check valve and a spherical outlet check valve. The internal trap mechanism is a stainless steel float connected to a built-in trap. The pump, trap and check valve mechanism are combined in the same pump body with no external seals or packings. Minimum mounting height 200mm (from pump base).
